Left Hand (moon or sun, life or death) / Right Hand (sun or moon, life or death)
WonBahnJang symbolizes the principle of the universe, having two sides of the same coin. In WonBahnJang, we move both hands simultaneously in the same speed, while one hand represents sunrise or for instance, something positive (life, happiness, love, etc) and the other sunset or something negative (death, unhappiness, hatred, etc).
Sunrise - Sunset
As one hand arises (the sun arises) in WonBahnJang, the other follows it (the sun sets and moon arises). As both hands are kept moving in circle in WonBahnJang, the sun and moon are arising alternatively till the end of our solar system.
Life - Death
Likewise, once a life is sprung, death follows it at all costs. As both hands are kept moving in circle in the movement, finally, there will be no life or death in the universal perspective. Life or death is just a concept created or educated by a smaller scale of being' s perspective with regard to time and space.
Good feelings & Emotions - Bad feelings & Emotions
Coming happiness indicates unhappiness also will arrive necessarily. Coming love does hatred also chases it, and so on. This is principle of the Universe and most of beings can't avoid it.
Fast Growing - Fast Perishing / Slow growing - Slow Perishing
However, GiCheon practitioners will be aware of this fate through their own vision and experiences, and build up their own inner power of virtue to be able to let themselves free from it through practice. And also cultivate themselves to grow nearer to the universal scale of being, being more willing to accept much bigger scale of the cycle of life & death principle in the the universe, time and space.
Being in the Middle (Follower of the Middle Path)
In this way, one will be able to keep itself self-centered and even deeply rooted (more than being grounded), being stranded or lost by none, not to mention being free from any karma - this is called one has accomplished "an accordance of three, 3" within itself.
